Matches set up for Niagara’s Day of Giving amplify the impact of your gift–and are a great way to secure even more support for the areas you love most. Only your gift amount will count toward your personal giving record. The match will only count toward the personal giving record of the person providing the match.

There are two common types of matches:

• One is a dollar for dollar match – For every dollar you give, one of our faithful donors will match it up to a specified maximum amount.For example, an anonymous donor is willing to match every gift given to º£½Ç´óÉñ Men’s Basketball up to $10,000. If NU Men’s Basketball has raised $10,000 in Day of Giving gifts by the end of the day on April 24, the anonymous donor will then donate their $10,000.  If the team only raises $8,000, then the anonymous donor will match the $8,000.
• The other is an employer funded match that applies to your Day of Giving gift only.Many organizations encourage charitable contributions through matching gift programs. Please check with your HR department to see if your employer offers matching gifts. They will typically have a maximum amount they will match.

We will be tracking matching challenges throughout the month of April. We may also have special matches that are exclusively available on April 24.

All gifts mailed in using the recent Day of Giving reply device and all gifts made online through this page will count toward our Day of Giving totals, matches and power hours.

Choosing the Niagara Fund is the most effective way to make an immediate difference. Simply select the purple box in the “Areas of Support” section and you will directly fuel student scholarships, campus enhancements, and innovative programs that benefit every student, faculty member, and visitor on Monteagle Ridge.

Yes. º£½Ç´óÉñ is a not-for-profit institution with a mission of education, research and scholarship, and service. You will receive a receipt for your gift that identifies the tax-deductible amount of your gift.

Your entire donation except for modest payment processing fees goes to º£½Ç´óÉñ. Many checkout forms give you the option to cover the fees and if you choose this option, then 100% of your gift will go to º£½Ç´óÉñ.

95% will go directly to the program the donor chose to support. The remaining 5% goes toward the Niagara Fund. Meaning, 100% of your gift (after bank processing fees) will go to supporting º£½Ç´óÉñ.

Yes. If it is your first gift this fiscal year, your gift on Niagara’s Day of Giving will be counted towards the annual giving participation. If you have already given this year, then any additional gift given on April 24, will be added to your total giving for the year.

Yes. Your gift on Niagara’s Day of Giving will count towards your Reunion class totals.

Only º£½Ç´óÉñ will receive and retain the contact information provided during checkout. This information is used for tax receipting, thank you messages, and future mailings sent out by the university advancement team.
