Student Health Insurance

海角大神 requires ALL full-time undergraduate students to retain health insurance, including athletes, international, and Canadian students.

ALL听蝉迟耻诲别苍迟蝉听MUST聽take action prior to the deadline their first semester and then聽EVERY FALL.

What is my enrollment deadline?

Fall: September 30
Spring: February 15

Domestic students can either enroll or retain comparable coverage via their current health insurance plan or family plan. If a student will use their own health insurance plan or be covered by a parent鈥檚 plan, there is a requirement to demonstrate proof of comparable health insurance coverage and waive out of the plan.

Student Health Insurance Coverage

ALL students will be AUTOMATICALLY ENROLLED in the plan with the OPTION TO WAIVE with the following exceptions:

International students are automatically enrolled and聽do not聽have the option to waive coverage.
Canadian D-1 athletes are automatically enrolled and do not聽have the option to waive coverage.
Canadian聽non-athlete聽students have the聽option to waive coverage. These students must sign into myNU to complete the waiver. Please read carefully and sign.

Waive Coverage

Domestic and non-athlete Canadian students using their own health insurance plan must complete the following.

All students will be charged for this plan on your student account bill by Student Records and Financial Services unless you waive coverage.聽 Once coverage is waived, Haylor, Freyer & Coon will provide confirmation of approved waivers to Student Records and Financial Services. After confirmation the insurance charge will be removed from the student鈥檚 account, usually within 5-7 business days. 聽If the student does not waive out by the deadline, the student will automatically be liable for the charge on the student鈥檚 tuition bill.
